Okay, the patch for "Fire Rain" and "Wave of Death" VFXes seems to work in every configuration I tried it with (I tinkered with magic protection of monsters I tried these spells on too, to be extra sure). But I can see you've already released the "Last Patch Before The New Year" version of Union...
Awesometastic. And I got the explanation about the real nature of this bug at last, ha! I'm testing the "release" version right now, but I'm going to tackle the testing with the "debug" version too. I will report within the next two days, after extensive combat simulations.
Have you ever thought about implementing a fix for the "Fire Rain" and "Death Wave" spells hitting twice bug in Union and/or SystemPack? There is a code for that flying around WoG.de, and it seems it can be used even with the classic Daedalus.
